2007 Training Information
The classes are being scheduled for April through November on Monday nights at the Carroll Indoor Sport Center in Westminster, Maryland.
The Carroll Kennel Club's classes are taught with a philosophy of positive reinforcement. No abusive behavior by any handler will be permitted! No Chain or prong collars permitted.
General Guidelines for participation in all classes:
All owners/handlers are required to:
- submit proof of vaccinations with registration forms and fees;
- clean up after their dogs both indoors and outdoors;
- have dog housebroken;
- assure that dogs are non-aggressive;
- assure that dogs are free of fleas and other parasites;
- not smoke, use alcohol or other strong medication while training your dog;
- wear athletic shoes and clothing;
- refrain from losing your temper, use verbal praise and touch your dog for a better response;
- be consistent; do the same thing the same way every time and end your practice sessions on a happy note!
