General Guidelines for participation in all classes:
All owners/handlers are required to:
- submit proof of vaccinations with registration forms and fees;
- clean up after their dogs both indoors and outdoors;
- have dog housebroken;
- assure that dogs are non-aggressive;
- assure that dogs are free of fleas and other parasites;
- not smoke, use alcohol or other strong medication while training your dog;
- wear athletic shoes and clothing;
- refrain from losing your temper, use verbal praise and touch your dog for a better response;
- be consistent; do the same thing the same way every time and end your practice sessions on a happy note!
HANDLING CLASS, SHOW & GO
Minimum Age: 8 weeks
This walk-in class is designed to teach the team (dog and handler) techniques for showing in conformation classes. These classes will emphasize standard AKC show ring patterns along with practice on stacking and gaiting. No Double Handling is permitted. A copy of vaccinations must be provided prior to entering the class.
